Where We Work

Association Georgie Badiel operates in Burkina Faso, a landlocked West African country of about 274,200 square kilometers. It is bordered by Mali, Niger, Benin, Togo, Ghana, and Ivory Coast. The UN estimated the population at 20.9 million in 2020. French is the official language, with around 50% speaking Mossi. Renamed from the Republic of Upper Volta on August 4, 1984, by President Thomas Sankara, its citizens are called Burkinabe, and the capital is Ouagadougou. We work in Tanghin-Dassouri and Komsilga, in the Kadiogo Province.
